Influenced by the vibrant tune "Colors" by Black Pumas, the project "Colors" came to life as a commissioned mixed-media collage on cardboard. A tribute to a spirited individual, this piece represents my abstract perception of their vibrant character.
"I woke up to the morning sky, first." The artwork's inception was akin to the dawning of a new day, teeming with anticipation, mirroring the joy and excitement of the person it was crafted for.
"Baby blue, just like we rehearsed." The piece took form, like a well-rehearsed performance, reflecting my interpretation of the individual's personality and spirit in a spectrum of colors and textures.
"All my favorite colors." Every element added to the collage reflected a part of the person it was intended for, showcasing their dynamic persona as I saw it.
This 21x30 creative endeavor is an abstract mirror reflecting the vibrant hues of a festive soul.
