"Love is our true destiny. We do not find the meaning of life by ourselves alone - we find it with another" -Thomas Merton

The Student Ambassadors for TEACH are planning a "Blind Date Night" as a fundraising event to raise money towards projects in Tazania. My job is to design
a poster promoting the event; I've decided to use the Roman God Cupid,
with this bow and arrows, to illustrate my design.

Cupid, or the Greek God Eros, is not actually a flying baby who shoots love arrows! He is most known for being in the classical story "The Golden Ass" where he falls in love with the lady Psyche but he was increasingly represented as a chubby boy with a bow and arrow after the Hellenistic period. He is also the symbol for Love and Valentine's Day. These are my initial sketches for the Cupid drawings and my final vectorised illustrations.
