DVB202 - NEW YEARS EVE + OVERCONSUMPTION

My poster aims to warn people on how the way we celebrate New years is not only beautiful but also deadly. With a focus on New Year's, my poster is a commentary on how the countdown to New years may as well be a countdown to the end of the world.

Different aspects I considered for this project include the waste left over from new year's, the impact fireworks have on our environment and the impact that the holiday can have on our mental and physical health. I want my poster to be a wake-up call; to make people think about the way that we celebrate New Year's and how we could find more sustainable ways to spend it. My target Audience for the poster is Gen Z and millennials as it is this demographic who will continue to experience the consequences of overconsumption and unsustainable practices and in turn, will help to change them.
