The Client Solutions team at Addepar is a restructuring of the group once called Deployments. While "Deployments" accurately implied that this team helps clients onboard to the Addepar platform, it also suggested that the relationship ends there. In reality the team handles much more than deploying our software. It houses services like data onboarding, product training, customer support, and continued relationship needs.
Since I had previously branded the team's product training service Addepar Acadamy, we decided its mark would be a good place to start. The Addepar Academy logo was designed to look like a new age college seal. It's central drawing represents human/machine symbiosis, a common point of discussion for the tech industry.
Because Client Solutions acts as an umbrella brand, I felt the new mark should be simplified while still holding the essence of Academy. This is a little awkward because it steps backwards in the brand tree, but in a start-up culture, one should be prepared to solve on the fly.
Conceptually the mark represents the abilty to empower human strengths and needs with user focused tech. It also references chemistry and molecular geometry, while staying in the same vernacular as the Addepar Academy logo. The rounded forms and type diverges from Addepar's hard angled identity because the team must emote a friendly nature.
There are many ups and downs in any client relationship and especially during the onboarding process. The team hopes to develop small gifts and packages to stay in touch with clients. This serves to celebrate wins, ease the pain of losses, or just continue an inside joke – because costumer service is king.
