Branding Case Study: Beverly Harris
__________________________________________________________________________________________
THE STARTING POINT:

The company: Beverly Hills specialized wedding designer Beverly Harris Weddings

The ideal customers: modern high-end brides from all over the U.S.A., dreaming of getting married in Beverly Hills or Los Angeles. Also: high-end wedding professionals and service providers in the Beverly Hills area.

The client commissioned me for: Brand development and consulting, visual brand concepts, full re-design of existing brand. Brand design included all communication items from web design, blog design, logo design, packaging, stationery design as well as unique marketing items such as drink stirs or cake sticks for company events.

The challenge: The brand didn't feel special to my client, and it didn't feel "like her". She also wanted to position herself more high-end, and to have a brand that really appeals to her ideal customers.

PHASE I - THE BRAND FOUNDATION

What: helping my client define the uniqueness of the brand by developing a brand reference document.

Purpose: To serve as reference in the brand design process, and all future business decisions.

Goal: Develop a strong, memorable brand that emotionally connects with the client's ideal customers.

Discussed key points: The brand specialty, additional offerings, competitor environment and challenges/advantages in comparison, brand name, tagline, brand keywords, brand creation story, the "why", brand icons, brand rituals, sacred brand words, ideal customer types, emotional benefits, brand feeling, non-customers.

Also included in this phase: a brand strategy recommendation.
