This project was for a minimalist illustration assignment, I chose to create a mental health related design as it is am important topic to me. I gave the title Turmoil to convey how often we are trapped in our heads, we may show on the outside that we are ok, but often hiding the mental struggles in silence. The girl also represents the inner child we all have, that often is neglected or ignored.  I wanted to raise mental health awareness and fight the stigma associated with mental illness, and encourage more people to seek help, reach out and talk about the struggle and find support.

The illustration was showcased as part of the 73rd Student Art Exhibition at the Diana Berger Gallery in May 2023.
