Bespoke Design: Rolls-Royce Ghost 'Canton Glory'

2013 Rolls-Royce Ghost
'Canton Glory'
A bespoke Rolls-Royce Ghost 'Collection Car', which I created during my time in the company's Bespoke Design studio. This is one of a handful of projects for which I drove the concept generation and design work. It is a celebration of the Chinese city of Guangzhou, a modern and thriving city steeped in ancient legend.
The car was unveiled at the 2013 Guangzhou Auto Show in China, taking center-stage on the Rolls-Royce stand.
The unique interior scheme evokes the colours and dynamism of Guangzhou's famous night-time illuminations. Navy leather with carpets and accents in Consort Red, plus contrast stitching in Powder Blue.

A ram motif is placed on each headrest, and also the fascia and on the external coachlines, in reference to a local ancient legend of 5 rams bringing prosperity to the city.
A small motif inspired by the city's landmark Canton Tower, sits at each of the stainless steel pinstripe on the Piano Black fascia panel. This feature aims to connect the car which the image of the modern Guangzhou.

Just two cars were made in the collection, making it one of the most exclusive recent Rolls-Royce editions.
