Brief summary:
We were tasked to design movie posters for existing movies using the principle of gestalt in forms of illustration. The goal of the project was to extract information from a film and apply it visually using the Gestalt principle.
After feedback, I came up with a different set of scamps that incorporated gestalt even more
This design shows the moment the peach hits the water. In the waterdrops you can see the outline of the city. I tried to stick to the original colors of the movie to keep the authenticity of it. Here is a mock up of the final poster
Vector design
In this design you can see her holding an egg behind her back. As kids when we held things behind our backs, it indicated a secret. That is what I was trying to achieve. She was keeping her love for the creature a secret. Through the way her fingers are placed, you can see the creature's face. Her fingers are also a metaphor for his imprisonment
Vector design
In this design you can see white males from the top and the black women from the bottom. This emphasises how the goverment were trying to keep their involvement in the rocket launch a secret.The men are wearing various authority articles such as an access card and communication headset. In the background you can see the rocket launching.
