Mohammed Ali mosque

Historical value
The Muhammad Ali Mosque, the or the Alabaster Mosque is one of the famous ancient mosques in Cairo and the most famous landmark of the castle. It was built by Muhammad Ali Pasha between 1830 and 1848 in the Ottoman style, similar to the Sultan Ahmed Mosque in Istanbul. It was built with a central dome surrounded by four small and four semicircular domes. It was constructed in a square plan and measured 41x41 meters. The central dome is 21 meters in diameter and the height of the building is 52 meters.

Goals
The proposal aims to provide lighting for the Muhammad Ali Mosque in the Citadel, as it is distinguished by its distinguished location that everyone can see from a great distance, and the lighting reflects the architectural and historical value of the mosque.
