The Brief: Select a body of existing visual work (a story) you would like to develop a new design concept
for.

I have decided to create a three-part series of books from the documentry "The Secret Life of Buildings", which looks at how architecture affects us at home, work and play, and discovers the secret ways that buildings profoundly affect our behavior, feelings and identity. Documentry presented by Architecture critic Tom Dyckhoff.

Documentry Summary:
We spend 85% of our lives inside but rarely, if ever, consider what impact the design and architecture of these spaces have on us. Yet the design of our living space can connect and silently shape our identity, self-esteem, relationships, chances at school, and even our weight and immune system. Architecture can change the way we feel, behave; it can even change the brain

As I only had a week to complete this project I decided to create a book on one of the series - Episode 1 (Home). This book explores how the design of our homes works secretly to influence our behaviour. Light, room size, layout, proportion and materials all have measurable effects on our lives. So why do we accept the smallest windows and the smallest room sizes in Europe? And what can we do about it?

My sub book for the Documentry: This A5 booklet focuses on the average house sizes in Europe, demonstrating the pschological effects of living in small tight conditions. When the A5 booklet is opened, it turns into a A1 poster with information graphics and hidden information.
