Upon entering the space, the skewed angles become noticeable, in this case, an otherwise rectilinear grid of lights is skewed by rotating one of the lines at a 15° angle.  This same angled is seen in the weathered steel wall behind the welcome desk.  The block of offices to the right have wall partitions constructed from metal studs and translucent polycarbonate sheets, allowing the users of the office space to have partial views across the fitness center floor.
A custom storage unit allows temporary storage of keys, water bottles, gym bags, etc during workouts.  The unit is located between the offices of the supervisors allowing security for this and across the gym floor.  The storage unit is a custom design constructed with solid surface material (Corian) and veneered plywood.  All walls around the offices are Polygal polycarbonate and semi- transparent, giving supervisors greater visibility.
At the Welome area, users are greeted by a desk composed of softly "unfolding" faces, meant to echo the other design elements of the rest of the campus.  The top of the desk is formed concrete.  Across from the desk are custom sculptural concrete "furniture" for waiting, stretching, warming up, tying shoelaces, box jumps, etc.  This is made to be a juxtaposition of the rest of the soft seating on the campus, which is more traditional (leather armchairs, coffee tables, etc).
In order to provide a wall finish that would stand up to heavy scuffing from handstand push-ups and other activities, the Stretch area wall is finished with veneered plywood and detailed with 30 gauge steel bar stock in between the panels.
The main feature wall continues the "slanted bar" theme in between the visual baffles for the locker rooms.  In the center is the SandRidge logo waterjet-cut into weathered steel and backlit.  Mechanical and electrical are left exposed below the double tee structure, which supports a parking garage above.  The mirrors in the free weight areas have a similar "slanted bar" design - creating a dynamic, motivating atmosphere.
The visual baffles leading to the locker rooms are also constructed from translucent polycarbonate panels and steel framing.  The steel columns tying the partition to the ceiling also have a weathered finish - but in this case it is gun-blued steel with a sealer, rather than the reddish weathered steel in other places. These materials are found elsewhere on the SandRidge campus.
A view from the Stretch area across the Fitness Center floor.  Using veneer grade plywood and blued steel, a low storage area was designed in order to store jump ropes, handweights, bosu balls, etc.  The rubber sports floor has a pattern similar to the lights above - an otherwise orthagonal grid with a skrewed gridline occasionally stressing the Cartesian geometry.
The locker rooms are provided with complimentary shower products free for the use of the users.  The mirrors follow the same "slanted bar" pattern found throughout the space.
