Background INTRODUCTION
 
eBay is a online marketplace for cars, clothing, accessories, electronics and almost anything you can mention.
eBay has this user agreement and automatic bidding system that you don’t have to worry that you will miss the bid in your busy scheduler. 
 
Target AUDIENCE
 
Online shopper of eBay. Financially independent working adults aged between 21 and 35 years old. This group of people are rather hard to pin down, as they are resourceful and educated. Although they are up-to-date with trends, they also have a mind of their own and are sceptical of advertising. 
 
AIMS and OBJECTIVE
 
-Big idea for the series of print-based campaign.
-Its selling benefit or promise.
-Propose a suitable art direction approach with powerful copy in order to tackle the issue. 
 
The design CONCEPT
 
The poster have to bring out the old school feel. The big idea must be catchy to capture viewer attention. As for the vintage look I may find iconic people in the 50s using ebay as a online shopping tools. 
 
MOODBOARD
MY SKETCHES
I am trying to sketch some exaggerating expression to show that even how busy you still wanted to bid for the item in eBay. After many sketching I decided that the exaggerating expression wasn’t that impactful compare to an iconic person action so this led me to choose Marilyn Monroe as the person for the advertisment poster. 
COLOUR PENCIL
At first I thought colour pencil can bring out the vintage look but I was wrong after comparing it with watercolour. I even try on watercolour pencil but it didn’t bring out the effect I wanted. 
WATER COLOUR
During the 50s some advertisement poster still uses watercolour to paint their ads that why after trying on colour-pencil sketching I decided to try on watercolour painting to see if it brings out the vintage retro looks.
