“The Book of Us: Negentropy — Chaos Swallowed Up in Love" is the final chapter of "The Book of Us" mini album series of South Korean band under JYP Entertainment, DAY6. It was released in April 2021, and it’s the final album on which DAY6 comeback (released music in K-POP language) as a whole group after two members, Sungjin and Jae, had their hiatus for a year and before the members’ enlistments and Jae's departure from company on December.
I was inspired by the poem in the trailer film and the epilogue film of this album; they use warm colors, scenes, and music that give off nostalgic vibes. I want to capture that warm feeling. So, I created an illustration following their poem and concept art. DAY6 members have their mascot characters, which were shown before in DAY6 (Even of Day) "Where the Sea Sleeps" MV. I drew them as their representative and added elements such as their other albums in the series, the music sheet of their song, the spaceship from the previous MV, etc.
At this time, "My Day" ,DAY6 fans, including me, didn’t know it was the last album before the situation in the band changed. I’m glad I drew and recorded my feelings as a fan in this picture, for good memories and for eternity, as they said in the film.
