red pandas are going extinct -- zine

For my graphic design class, this project is a zine focused on a social issue; the red panda being endangered from climate change and deforestation. In my opinion, zines are supposed to be attention grabbing, so instead of an expected "xyz is endangered" title, I did a more unexpected juxtaposition of their cuteness and the cheeriness of the exclamation point, against a morbid title. My color choices are also focused on being bright/having clear contrast and attention grabbing. I used mostly red and green/pink and green with this in mind. None of the images used on this are left unedited--they all have at least their colors/contrast edited, with most having a clipping mask or two and textures set at different blending modes. I also love when zines have a handmade quality to them so I tried to mimic that by bringing in different paper/poster paper/wall textures, as well as adding white cut outs to some of the pandas to simulate them being images torn from a magazine and glued in, as well as stickers and glitter being "hand-placed" decorations.
The final draft -- all images sourced from Pexel. "Red pandas: we're dying" is the cover, support us and learn more is the back cover. Pages 2-3 are on the bottom next to the covers, and 4-7 are on top from right to left.
