Responsibility: Direct, Design, Animation, and Editing

In 2011, Thailand is affected by severe flood. The flood lasted more than 3 months, costed many lives and washed away countless properties and businesses.

This animation is dedicated to many who have suffered from the flood. The collection of interviews from victims and volunteers are collected at the flood refugee centre in Rajamangala National Stadium.

Clients gave 2 weeks to complete a project. They wanted to focus on a design and live footage rather than on an animation.

This is the background design I used in the animation. The theme of this work is quite heavy because of the flood. I have to keep in mind that I have to balance the colour combination and design not to be too bright, but not too gloomy at the same time because the purpose of this work is to cheer those who suffered from the flood.
 

One of the problem Thai people face with the flood is the outbreak of the crocodile from the crocodile farms! Thailand actually has the biggest crocodile farms in the world as they are raised to be made into brand name goods. Therefore I added group of crocodiles into my work.

Another problem along side the crocodile is the large amount of snakes people encountered during the flood, so I add them into my work as well.
