Loud Hands
In this project we firstly chose a motto from given choices. My motto was “Ever wonder what they are talking”. Given this choices and some research I’ve decided that a sign language company will be best suited for this motto. The company that I’ve decided was to be a company who teaches sign language to the teenagers who are deaf. The company also gives counseling to people who want to learn sign language for their relatives or to people who are just interested in the subject.

After choosing my company’s work, I’ve started researching about the logos for similar companies. What I’ve seen is that those companies mostly use gestures done by hands.  The logos either use gestures near the typeface or use hand gestures to spell the words with letters. I’ve chosen that my logo should be of the first category, as we need to create a dynamic logo that has 5 different logos. 5 different logos with 5 different gestures seemed like the best way to go with the logo, so I’ve chosen 5 different hand gestures for my logo.

Since I’ve decided to make a company that targets a younger demographic, I’ve though that I should create a fun and interesting typography for my logo, so after some experiments and research, I’ve decided upon the typeface that you can see in my logo. Even though it is a kinetic logo, I’ve thought that my logo’s typeface should be the same in all my logos for consistency, so we can say that I’ve used component and variation technique.
