Supernova's occur from a change in the core of a star causing the star to increase in brightness, and ultimately resulting in a catostrophic explosion. This explosion, according to NASA, signifies the end of a star's lifetime. Once the star explodes, a burst of light along with stellar debris are released into the atmosphere. Using this information to inspire my Spring/Summer children's wear collection, I focused on the bright colors and explosive qualities of supernova's to design for the spunky, outgoing and fashionable toddler. My dress was selected to walk the runway at Philadelphia University's Annual Evening of Innovation Fashion Show on April 27th in the Kimmel Center.
