University of California, Davis (USD) commissioned Steven Noble to create some custom brand marks for the university to be used on their print and digital materials for the Sacaramento International Airport and as wells for the Sacramento Transit Trains The aim behind these campus icons was also to be a little whimsical and/or tongue-in-cheek in nature such as the cow riding the bicycle or an egghead rolling on the ground. The overall goal of this rebrand was to reposition UC Davis as a top-tier, internationally-recognized university that is uniquely suited to tackle the problems of the 21st century.
