About the project:
Raven Heart is a recreation and vast over haul of a far more simplistic design I made back in 2013/ 2014. The current image depicts a mystical raven perched on top of a still beating human heart. The heart is held by a young woman who is in a slightly odd colored forest during a lite snowfall. The heart is meant to be her heart and is currently wrapped in chains and a padlock. With her other hand, the young woman is reaching out for a key which is being held in the beak of a mysterious glowing raven. The key is to the padlock that contains the beating heart. While this is happening, the young woman is blindfolded, yet bears the Norse Compass symbol (Vegvísir / pronounced: vehg-vee-sair) over her eye on top of the blindfold, which is currently glowing.
Sometimes we lose our way in life. Sometimes we can feel as if we are lost, stumbling around in a very cold and dark forest. We may even feel as if we are losing pieces of ourselves. However, with a little help, we can find those missing pieces of ourselves and start to feel whole again. Besides, no matter how lost we may feel we are in life, we are often much closer to that our life's path then we realize (as depicted by the glowing Norse Compass). Sometimes, we just need a little help getting back on the right path, and sometimes that help is depicted metaphorically as an otherworldly, glowing raven holding the key to unlock your heart or "inner passion/drive".

This is the first iteration of the design I made a number of years ago. This version was a lot more simplistic and meant to be put on a t-shirt via screen printing.
