Introducing a Redesigned Brand for the São Paulo International Film Festival
Reimagining a cinematic event that reflects the spirit of São Paulo
As a Graphic Design student at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Macerata, attending the Branding Design class during my exchange program, I had the opportunity to undertake the rebranding of the Mostra Internacional de Cinema de São Paulo - São Paulo Int'l Film Festival - (as an academic and fictional project). With a rich history of 47 years, this event holds a special place in the cultural landscape of São Paulo, Brazil, reaching diverse communities and serving as a hub for workshops and innovation for local and international filmmakers.
A vibrant and inclusive showcase for cinema and culture
The revamped visual identity captures the essence of São Paulo, a city renowned for its vibrant culture and diverse neighborhoods.
Reflecting the city's spirit through a dynamic visual identity
Inspired by São Paulo's modernity and urban energy, the new visual identity embraces geometric shapes, vibrant colors, and a touch of innovation. The logo design features a large, reflected screen, symbolizing the event's role as a platform for showcasing creative visions. This contemporary and captivating visual identity encapsulates the dynamic nature of cinema and mirrors the city's ever-evolving cultural scene.
An adaptable and impactful brand
The rebranding efforts focused on creating a versatile visual identity that can seamlessly adapt to various mediums and platforms. From digital interfaces to print materials and signage, the redesigned brand ensures consistent recognition and engagement across different touchpoints. This adaptability will enhance the showcase's visibility and resonance both locally and globally.
