[PT] Este projecto é realizado no âmbito do meu mestrado na Faculdade de Belas Artes do Porto - FBAUP para a Unidade Curricular de "Projecto". Para mim este trabalho não surge unicamente como um simples objecto editorial de avaliação académica; tem um enorme peso dentro de mim. Desde sempre adorei estudar a "guerra" no âmbito histórico, mas foi sempre algo que fui aprendendo a repugnar ao longo destes anos!! É um acto desnessário que só consegue trazer sofrimento e destruição para milhões de inocentes.
Este objecto surge principalmente como um tributo a todos os soldados e familias que foram vitimas durante o conflito da Segunda Guerra Mundial no grande Pacífico, descrevendo em grande parte os principais acontecimentos que tiveram papel nessa época. É dividido em duas partes, numa espécie de livro em fole. A primeira parte foca-se essencialmente em todo o conflito que vai desde a Restauração Meiji até ao lançamento das bombas de Hiroshima e Nagasaki, enquanto que a segunda parte foca-se necessáriamente em toda a destruição e sofrimento que esta guerra conseguiu trazer ao Japão.

[EN] This project is carried out within the context of my Master's degree at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Porto - FBAUP to the curricular unity of "Project". For me this work does not arise solely as a simple editorial subject for my academic assessment; it has essentially  a huge weight inside me. Always loved studying the "war" in the historical context, but it was always something that I learned to dislike so deeply over the years!! It is a needless act for us as humans, that can only bring suffering and destruction to millions of innocents. This subject arises primarily as a tribute to all the soldiers and families who were victims during the conflict of World War II in the great Pacific, largely describing the major events that took part in that time. It is divided into two parts, a kind of book bellows. The first part focuses mainly around the conflict that goes from the Meiji Restoration until the release of the bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, while the second part focuses necessarily on all the destruction and suffering that this war brought to Japan.
