Chocolate Mallow Lab
 
is a company specializing in the production of high-quality candies and chocolates. Every ingredient is carefully selected to ensure its quality. The products are made exclusively from natural ingredients sourced from trusted suppliers. The brand believes in producing natural products and cares about the health of its customers.
 
There are 4 flavours that have to be represented: salted honey with crunchy caramel, Lollypop chocolate, Berry and Green tea. The brand wants to attract the target audience, stand out among competitors and emphasise the uniqueness and positioning of the brand.
 
To achieve the goals, the following steps were completed:
-competitor analysis
-target audience analysis
-creation of an association map (mind map)
-development of a concept and brand metaphor
-definition of key visual elements
-logo and packaging design
-printing and photoshoot of the packaging

Concept and brand metaphor:

Based on the name, Chocolate Mallow Lab is a laboratory that implies a scientific approach to chocolate production. The inspiration came from the animated film "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs," where the main character is a scientist who creates a device in his lab that can make live food.
This is a great solution for the brand as it is quite unique and signifies that the laboratory constantly experiments with ingredients and flavors. Only the best and proven ingredients are used in the chocolate, and it also emphasizes that the ingredients are alive and natural.

The main visual element is a large, stretched-out text filling and a cut-out in the shape of the main ingredient on each chocolate packaging. Additionally, each package features slogans with the word "life," which indicates that the ingredients are alive and can also be used in other layouts such as posters and billboards.
For each packaging, windows of simple shapes are created to view the chocolate. This showcases the brand's "transparency" since the customer can already see the product without opening the package.






Transparent trade

is a business practice that promotes openness and accountability in supply chains, used by the company Raaka, for example. It involves providing clear information about the origin, production, and distribution of products or services.

Each packaging contains a transparent trade report, allowing consumers to delve into the business model and obtain information about the origin of the cacao beans, including specific sourcing locations and the amount the company paid for them. By disclosing details about sourcing, production methods, and social and environmental impact, the use of transparent trade aims to build trust and enable informed consumer choices. This practice not only enhances the brand's credibility but also demonstrates care for both our partners, the farmers, and our customers.






To add a touch of uniqueness to this project, an unconventional chocolate design was chosen. The designs were generated using AI on lexica.art, showcasing an example of how they could be implemented and brought to life. This innovative approach brings a fresh perspective to the project and demonstrates the possibilities of combining AI technology with real-world applications.
