Goal: Create a fresh portfolio website for painter Rebecca Weller
Before sketching I began by benchmarking the websites provided by the client, such as Jaclyn Journey. When I began planning the site, I aimed to integrate simple, straightforward navigation with her preferred feminine, elegant and handwritten aesthetic.
When moving to digital mock-ups I began the apply a muted color palette of milky pinks, greens and greys and a serif font that suited the desire elegance of the project. A basic grid allowed the implementation of both gallery avatars as well as larger images that would appear on the home and about pages, as demonstrated below.
Pictured above is the final website, which can be visited here. Unfortunately my co-op semester ended before I could code the site, but my original designs and wireframes served as the framework for the art to live online.
