MINING INDUSTRIAL WEAR

MINING
Mining, process of extracting useful minerals from the surface of the Earth, including the seas. A mineral, with a few exceptions, is an inorganic substance occurring in nature that has a definite chemical composition and distinctive physical properties or molecular structure. Archaeological discoveries indicate that mining was conducted in prehistoric times. Apparently, the first mineral used was flint. The mining of gold and copper also dates back to prehistoric times.
 GLOBALIZATION
Mining industries came into play. Mining industry is one of the most prominent earning source of many different countries, since the growth of the mining industries often regulate the resource acquisition potential and economic growth of the countries.

Anatomical specializations
Bats are mammals with front limbs modified for flight. The chest and shoulders are large and well-muscled to provide power to the wings. The hips and legs are slender, as they do not usually support any body weight. Wing shape, governed by the relative lengths of the forearm and the fingers, varies greatly, in adaptation to flight characteristics. The fingers, other than the thumb, are greatly elongated and are joined by a membrane that extends from the posterior border of the forearm and upper arm to the side of the body and leg as far as the ankle or foot. The wing membrane consists of two layers of skin, generally darkly pigmented and hairless, between which course blood vessels and nerves. When not fully extended, the wing skin is gathered into wrinkled folds by elastic connective tissue and muscle fibers. Some of the fingers, especially the third, fold over when the bat is not in flight; the wing may then be quite tightly folded or may partly enfold the bat’s undersurface. The thumb, always free of the wing membrane, is used for walking or climbing in some species; in others it is used for handling food. Only the thumb—and occasionally the index finger—ends with a claw. Bats that walk often have pads or suction disks on their thumbs or wrists or both, and many female bats use their thumbs to suspend themselves, hammock fashion, when giving birth.

OUR LEARNING
System design has helped us understand the user centric approach much more closely and what all it takes, just to improve upon the pre-existing features and design. It also generated a sense for understanding the connections which elements of a system pertains to each other. The learning towards user study, organization study, ergonomic study, empathy, direct and indirect connects has certainly helped in understanding the overall design process better. The whole project was an eye opener to the fact that all cannot be solved from a single perspective and every design and approach has a definite time to serve which would certainly help me in delivering conscious solutions. Approaching the issue from different perspectives was very essential. The system thinking will be key in tackling future project in a holistic way. Within the broader problem space, there’s a slew of hyper-specific problem statements that could all have vastly different solutions. Broadly thinking yet recalling the constraints that help build up better cogent. Focusing on learning and not finding final deliverables is an integral part of the design process.
