Major Project- How To: Survive Art School A5 and A6 zines. These zines offer guidance, advice and tips to prospective art and design students who are either starting or thinking of starting a creative university course. These zines were inspired by my time at art school and my hope is that they will bring comfort to those who are apprehensive about starting their art school journey. I created the imagery for the zines using risograph prints and digital edits which I created in Photoshop. I created the text using different materials, including: linocut printing, inks and paints. I then created each page of text in Photoshop using these prints and put the whole zine together in InDesign. I got the zines printed with the Newspaper Club and cut and bound them together myself using needle and thread. Overall, I'm very happy with how these turned out as the imagery captures life as an art student and the text offers words of wisdom. I think they would be very successful handed out at university open days or applicant days.
