Sunken Movie Poster

Sunken
Horror and thriller films have been popular for many years, and they continue to attract audiences who seek the thrill of fear and suspense. This poster for the movie sets the tone for what promises to be a terrifying experience. It shows the wounded girl, helpless and vulnerable, falling into the deep and dark ocean, with the ominous presence of evil spirits waiting to attack her. The poster is both haunting and captivating, drawing audiences in with its ominous promise of horror.
Target Audience

The goal of this project is to design a movie poster for an upcoming horror/thriller film aimed at audiences who enjoy suspenseful and terrifying films. The target audience for this movie poster design is people aged 18-35 who enjoy the horror genre.
Background

Horror and thriller films have been popular for many years, and they continue to attract audiences who seek the thrill of fear and suspense. A well-designed movie poster can create excitement and anticipation for a film, generating buzz and interest among audiences.
Objectives

The objective of this project is to create a movie poster that accurately captures the tone and mood of the upcoming horror/thriller film. The poster should appeal to the target audience and generate interest in the movie, ultimately leading to increased ticket sales.
Design Problem

The main challenge of this project is to create a design that effectively conveys the horror and suspense of the film without giving away too much of the plot. The poster must also capture the attention of potential viewers, and stand out among the many other movie posters that will be competing for attention.
Design Process

The design process for this project involved several stages, including research, concept development, and final execution. In the research stage, I analyzed the film's plot, genre, and audience to gain a better understanding of the design problem. In the concept development stage, I generated several ideas for the poster and started searching for the apt images to curate the final composition. Finally, in the execution stage, I finalized the poster design and used the same for promotion across various platforms like a subway poster advertisement, movie theater screen mockup, movie tickets. Through these diverse platforms, the movie poster design can be showcased effectively, generating interest, excitement, and engagement across different audiences and mediums.
Design Solution

The movie poster will be a striking image that captures the mood and tone of the film. The poster will use bold typography and color to create a sense of urgency and fear, drawing potential viewers in and creating anticipation for the film. The design will also incorporate key visual elements from the film, such as a terrifying character or a suspenseful scene, to create a connection between the poster and the movie. Overall, the poster design will be an effective marketing tool, generating interest in the film and ultimately leading to increased ticket sales.
