We were proud to create a craft brewery with a beautiful Ukrainian name MOVA: a restaurant, a museum, and a wonderful public "Beer Space" for all citizens. This was done by reconstructing and expanding an abandoned warehouse building, which, as an example of renovation, is especially important for residential areas of Dnipro, where they are separated by large fragments of abandoned communal, warehouse, or industrial areas. The transformation of the latter into new multifunctional public spaces is essential for creating a high-quality urban environment and provides a powerful impetus for its further improvement.

Two weeks after the opening, the war broke out in Ukraine. The old warehouse - the new peaceful Beer Space - quickly turned into a facility to help volunteers and the military, providing them with free lunches and drinking water. In the afternoon, MOVA returns to the center for recreation and socializing, where you can touch the art of brewing, tour the brewery with state-of-the-art equipment from the Czech Republic, taste a fresh Ukrainian drink, chat with friends in the restaurant, and play with children on the playground. Perfect beer, socializing, children's games, yoga, watching movies in the open air - all against the backdrop of a reconstructed warehouse building.

The spirit of the industrial past was emphasized during the reconstruction by preserving the original openwork metal frame and precast concrete structures of the building's enclosing walls. The use of these structures and the necessary addition of new local materials (metal, glass, wood) against the backdrop of a magnificent natural landscape with beer-flavored plants created a harmonious ensemble of elements from different eras.

The specially designed two-light space of the new restaurant building is separated from the production area by a huge stained-glass window. A bridge over the two-light space connects the restaurant with the office. The latter is located in a new two-story volume built into the old building and is simultaneously used as a tour gallery of beer production. All Beer Spaces are oriented to the specially formed natural landscape of the complex. The bridge symbolizes a new quality of connection between people, production, and the modern city of Dnipro. In it, people are no longer "appendages to production" but heroes who are at the center of attention in all the diversity of modern life.
