Draw me an odour was a MeDArT exhibit in showcased in France. The point of the exhibit was to display the research done into how odours/smells cause people to think of certain subject matter i.e an earthy smell caused them to think specifically of grass. It also showed the similarities and differences between cultures - namely France and New Zealand.

The brief I was given was to create an animation that could communicate the research through images, sound and limited words with no dialogue at all. This was a brilliant challenge as we had to communicate across two cultures and figure out ways for both to understand the same concept. We learned what visual cues had similar meanings and which ones translated differently. I was tasked with putting all images and procedural 3D animation into a single video that could play on loop at the exhibit.
