PROTOTYPE   URBAN ECOLOGY   EAST RIVER NYC II
Direct relationship between city and river through a sustainable, efficient lifestyle
Project produced for:
Post Professional MS Architecture and Urban Design
Pratt Institute, New York City
David Ruy's Studio

PROPOSAL
The idea is to look at the project 10 years from its presumed creation and imagine which things could have succeed and which failed.
*SATELLITE IMAGE “FROM THE FUTURE” SHOWING HOW THE WATER COLOR CHANGED DUE THE RIVER’S NEW ECOSYSTEM AND MODIFIED TEMPERATURE
MAGICAL REALISM
Nowadays, where internet is the main source of information and computer-generated imagery is common currency, the line between real and illusion could be blurry.
The project is shown from a different perspective, is not the center of attention anymore. This “subliminal” message could be a different way to advertise architecture.

One option to depict the project from this perspective would be creating “fake” publications about it, I chose to create a NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC “fake” special edition.
*SOME IMAGES OF THE “fake” EDITION ARE SHOWN HERE
