Kueh Zi (Kueh 子)
A new kueh using created using novel methods.
Kueh Zi plays a supporting role in Chinese wedding tea ceremonies, as blessings given to newlyweds by family elders in exchange for a sweet cup of tea. Using a recipe similar to that of Kueh Mohor for a medium that expands and rises, "stamping" was used to create cracks in the kueh's surface after proofing, conveying abundance.
This project was a collaboration with Koh Bei Ning.
