This is the illustration I made for a Halloween-themed fanzine of Stephen King's It.
Here's a bit of the process:
1. The idea. In the beginning I had a lot of ideas, but the one that stuck was the one that gave me the most to work with:
"Bev's Halloween after It, she's slowly losing her memories of her friends now that she's left Derry"
2. The sketching phase. Sadly, it seems like my very first attempts at sketching this have been lost, but we have these. As you can see, I like leaving myself notes in between drawing times:
3. Painting time! This involves figuring out colors, reworking stuff, rendering, and color correction. It is probably the longest part of the entire process
