MTC De Macadamfretters
MTC De Macadamfretters (tarmac-eaters) are a local group of bikers who's sole purpose is to ride their bikes and have adventures. The asked us if we were willing to make them a logo that catches their spirit. After some sketches we came up with a bikermonkey eating tarmac for breakfast.
In photoshop I started drawing with our Intuos 5 touch tablet. Not losing too much time on detail becaus the end result must have a rough feel to it. You can see some features like helmet and goggles are being improved on the go.
To complete the logo and give it the ultimate biker touch I simply searched the web for a motorcycle tire and maxed out the contrast.
In Illustrator I vecorized the drawing making it ready for screen print. I also made some variations wich they can choose from. I added in detail their 2 sponsors being ourself and a local bar.
As they are leaving for a trip to England next week, and next week is a short week due to holidays, we didn't lose tim in ordering the screen printed hoodies and t-shirts. They don't know it yet but we also ordered a batch of stickers and a big flag to join them on their trip. We hope to see some instagrams of their material on social media. After all, we sponsor them for a reason.
The trip to England
The response received from logo and apperal where huge. A lot of stickers were applied on their trip. They even sold some of their own hoodies for hard cash to people who really liked them. Here are some pictures taken from their trip.
