2024年度版の小学校向け算数の教科書の表紙イラストを描きました。
全学年の表紙をつなぐと現れる算数の街 “ Smart Math Town ” そこには、子どもたちの心を動かすたくさんの驚きや発見が詰まっています。
「算数の楽しさに気づき、生活へいかしてほしい」「学びを“未来をひらく力”としてほしい」そんなメッセージが込められています。

We drew the cover illustration for the 2024 edition of the elementary school mathematics textbook. When you connect the covers of all grade levels, it reveals a math-themed town called "Smart Math Town." It is filled with numerous surprises and discoveries that capture the hearts of children.
The messages embedded in the illustration are "Realize the joy of mathematics and apply it to daily life" and "Desire for learning to be the power that opens up the future."

この表紙には、子供たちに算数を楽しんでもらいたいという思いが込められています。
算数は生活に密着したスキルで将来の基礎になり同時に創造性も育む大切な学問ですが、どうしても堅苦しく難しいというイメージを持たれがちです。
そこで各学年の学習内容に合わせたオブジェクト（数字のビルやビーカーなど）が並ぶ街並みを
子供たちが興味を持って眺められるような、楽しそうな形や明るくカラフルな色合いで描き、その中でイキイキと暮らす子供達を描きました。
ここから算数に興味を持ち、自分自身の可能性を広げることができるといいなと思っています。

Mathematics is a skill that is closely related to daily life and is an important subject that serves as the foundation for the future and fosters creativity at the same time.
Therefore, we created a streetscape lined with objects (number buildings, beakers, etc.) that match the learning content of each grade.
I drew children with happy shapes and bright and colorful colors that children can look at with interest.
I hope that I can develop an interest in mathematics from here and expand my own possibilities.
