Mooncake Packaging - ToYou

As the moon rabbit embarks on its interstellar adventure, it would encounter the different phases of the moon. These phases, such as the crescent, half moon, and full moon, could be visually represented in the story, showcasing the moon's ever-changing appearance.
Finally, the moon rabbit's journey leads it to encounter Chang'e. In Chinese mythology, Chang'e is the goddess who resides on the moon. This meeting could be portrayed as a significant and magical moment, as the moon rabbit encounters the embodiment of lunar divinity.
It combines elements of folklore, lunar mythology, and space exploration, creating a unique narrative that blends imagination with cultural symbolism.
The term "兔游" sounds similar to the English phrase "to you," which can evoke a sense of personal connection and gift-giving. By associating it with a gift box, you create a delightful connection between the moon rabbit's adventure and the act of presenting a special surprise to someone.

Design Details
The cover uses moiré animation. The rabbit keep chasing the moon, while chang’e only appears on full moon.

Mark the date of the different changes of the moon and the date Mid- Autumn Festival in calendar.

Divide into four parts using a pop- up style. The first and second are the cosmic parts, third are star trail and different moon, and the last parts are the rabbit finally saw the chang’e on full moon.

On the front of the primary packaging, you can understand the dates of the moonlight change and the Mid-Autumn Festival, beautifully designed with lunar and celestial motifs. The moiré fringes can be used to create an animated representation of the moonlight, bringing it to life with subtle movements and shimmering effects.

On the back of the primary packaging, I depict a different scene showcasing the jade rabbit waiting. The jade rabbit, often associated with the moon in Chinese folklore, could be illustrated in a tranquil and expectant pose. This scene represents the rabbit's anticipation of the Mid-Autumn Festival, further connecting it to the celebration and the lunar theme.
