Marco's Pizza Brand Refresh

If pizza was a love language, it would be called Marco's Pizza. I repositioned Marco's Pizza as the ultimate pizza for pizza lovers. I overhauled their brand look and feel and how they spoke about their pizza to the truly pizza obsessed. Under my creative direction we created a new tone that was beyond punny, to more clever. Creating Marco-isms that were not just true about the pizza category but were specific to the Marco's Pizza differentiators in quality ingredients, savory taste factors and crave appeal. I created a new look and feel to match the new brand swagger. This strategy helped the brand go from a mom and pop shop to a national brand, staged to compete with the big 4 QSR pizza chains. I worked to simplify their typography, art direction and layouts, introduced a new modern font, a color palette that stands out, as well as a unique ownable illustration style.
