A new GUI environment for 12-inch netbook, allowing users who have little experiences in using mobile devices.to access software they want to use in a more intuitive way.
It is one of my favorite projects for its ultimate goal – the UI adapts to its user. In this project, I directed the main direction and handled almost every stage myself except the graphic design.

In this flash prototype, there are 3 default theme settings, and in each theme users can customize what software to use. Each color block represents a software, and the size (width) of the block will change along with users' habit (frequency of usage). When a software is used more frequently, the color block will show more "recently opened documents" or relevant information.

A modified version of the "color strips" on netbooks (http://youtu.be/jS2uxIRamFo). We decided to move it to tablets, and therefore we need to take into account the differences on hand gestures.
Modification:
1. Log-in simulation
2. On tablets, there are no 'cursor-hover' events, and users tend to use "slide" to switch between themes.
3. low-tone color scheme specifically for the target customer - business people.
