Glade Packaging l Egyptian Special Edition

About Glade:

Glade is a brand of household air fresheners that were first introduced in 1956. Glade is a worldwide brand owned by S. C. Johnson & Son, known variously around the world as Glade, Gleid, Brise, etc.

Packaging for Glade air freshener:

This package is a special edition to be introduced into the Egyptian market in the winter season (known as the flu season).

To introduce this edition in a fun and eye-catching way, I came up with the idea to create two different sex characters made up of the core of the Egyptian ethnicity, which is upper Egypt, known as "El-Sai'd."

Sa’idi people are of Egyptian descent; they are known for their own way of dressing, which I illustrated in a 2D flat illustration.

As for the illustrations, the woman figure is dressed in a Sa’idi abaya and a hijab, while the man figure has a big mustache and is dressed in an Egyptian Sa’idi jellabiya and a hat known as a ta'ya.

On the front of the package, I illustrated how a person look before a sneeze.
After buying the freshener, it can be used inside the package without throwing the package away.

As you can see, the front opening shows the freshener’s nozzle, which helps the figure drawn to show its purpose as a person sneezing when the freshener squirts its spray every once in a while, which emphasizes the idea of this edition being made for the flu or winter season.

On the back of the package, you could see the back side of the figures illustrated, which gives the whole figure-form experience to the customer. There is also a small opening at the back, so the customer could use the force spray button whenever he wants.
When opening the package, there is a holder at the lower end of the package to hold the freshener tightly in place so that it does not shake around in the package.

The packaging is made out of carton, which is a sustainable, eco-friendly material type.

This edition has an air freshener that contains a fluid made of anti-bacterial chemical compounds such as alcohol that is odorless and helps purify the air by eliminating toxins in the air indoors. Also, the freshener contains other compounds, like fragrances and essential oils, that give off pleasant odors.

For this edition, I used the mint blooming scent, which helps people who suffer from sinus pain during the winter due to the flu breathe better by releasing the sinus pressure by using the air freshener.
