NewWebPick magazine organized an International Football Design Competition, attracted 224 participants from all over the world and received 240 football designs submission. 32 winners have been selected whose football designs represent the 32 countries of the World Cup 2010 season.
Description
Taegeuk is Korean cognate of Taiji, the Taoist concept of yin and Yang. My concept is based on the "Yin" & "Yang".
No matter what happen, the Yin&Yang or the "good & evil" have to stay together as one to make a strong natural bond. A semi-circular stripes shapes were spread around the design which represent the Korean traditional folding fan (jeopseon).
In this design, it tells us that no matter what happen during the game, the game must go on just like the wind blow naturally on us everyday because life must go on. The Blue & Red I make it an uncertain shape to it which can look like that both color are ready to be bonded as one. It will have the spirit of "WORK TOGETHER AS ONE". Those four sets of 3 stripes around the design is from the "taegeuk" as well. All four sets of them were flying from somewhere and come together as one.
