The visualisation presents Net Zero pledges by countries, showcasing data on targets set and factors that indicate the integrity of the targets. It focuses on top 80 countries based on annual GHG emissions 2019.

Methodology
The visualisation utilises Net Zero Tracker's dataset and analysis on net zero pledges by countries, aimed at increasing transparency and accountability of these pledges. It shows data on targets set and factors that indicate the integrity of the targets. The visualisation focuses on top 80 countries from a dataset of 198 countries, filtered based on annual GHG emissions.
The visualisation depicts the following information for these 80 countries:
• Type of target (11 categories)
• GHG emissions per capita (numeric)
• End target year
• End target status (5 categories)
• Presence of detailed plan to achieve target (Yes / No) • Reporting mechanism (3 categories)
• Greenhouse gases covered under target (3 categories) • Type of interim target (6 categories)
• Interim target year
• Total population of country (numeric)
• GHG emissions per capita (numeric)
• End target year
• End target status (5 categories)
• Presence of detailed plan to achieve target (Yes / No) • Reporting mechanism (3 categories)
• Greenhouse gases covered under target (3 categories) • Type of interim target (6 categories)
• Interim target year
• Total population of country (numeric)
The visualisation is designed as a circle (depicting zero/shape of earth) split into two semi circles with the same country diagonally opposite in the two semi circles for comparison between indicators. Splitting the circle into two also allows presenting the only two numerical indicators as bar charts encom- passing the visualisation. Countries are clubbed based on the type of target (11 categories) announced by them.
The upper semi circle presents the GHG emissions per capita, end target year, end target status, presence of plan and reporting mechanism.
The lower semi circle presents the country populations, interim target type, interim target year and greenhouse gases covered under target.
