Character Design - Professor Horus' Sidekicks

Character Design - Professor Horus' Sidekicks
This project is a continuation of sorts of a previous project of mine, which featured a magic historian and archeologist professor named Horus. This project focuses on his companions, a sphinx cat with seer abilities, a vegan lab rat addicted to watermelons and an angry, mummified dachshund.

Included in this project are the full illustrations, the initial sketches and video of the entire illustration process.

Initial Sketches
Here you can see the initial sketches of the three characters showing a bit of their personalities and how they interact with others.
The first character design I came up with was that of Bat, the sphinx cat that can see the future. She was named after Bastet, the Ancient Egyptian goddess of protection. Often lost in thought because of her seer abilities, Bat will often slightly tilt her head with a mystic-looking blank gaze in her eyes.
Secondly, we have Anuph, named after the Ancient Egyptian god Anubis. He was a mummified daschund dog that was revived by professor Horus. While in his past live he was a gentle and docile dog, in this new revived form he is extremely short tempered and prone to bite just about anything and anyone that annoys him.
And finally here's Issi, named after the Ancient Egyptian goddess Isis. She is a lab rat that professor Horus took as a pet after finding out she is vegan and addicted to watermelon. He is really found of her, although her constant raids to his  supplies can sometimes leave him without any for his watermelon gin drinks.
The whole gang together!
And here's the entire gang all together. Be sure to also see Professor Hours' project here!
