SOUND OF SILENCE- a cover design

And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon god, they made
And the sign flashed out its warning
In the words that it was forming
And the sign said, "The words of the prophets
Are written on the subway walls
And tenement halls
And whispered in the sounds of silence"
-Simon & Garfunkel
In the song "The Sound of Silence," I was particularly drawn to the line "whispered in the sounds of silence." This line inspired me to create a front cover design for the album that captured the essence of the song's meaning. To achieve this, I focused on the colors and typography that could best convey the message. I wanted the design to evoke a sense of stillness and quietness, as well as the mysterious and thought-provoking qualities of the lyrics. After exploring various design options, I arrived at a final concept that I felt encapsulated, how will the sound of silence and the feel of the song for me.
