By building my own photogrammetry 3D scanning rig, life models from of different character are 3D scanned and juxtapositioned into a series of sculpture-installation-like images.
When I first saw a 3D scan human using Photogrammetry, What I saw on the the screen isn't just a 3D model - It's a sculpture!
Then I start designing and building my own photogrammetry system.
The beauty of 3D scanning is that it captures the amazing human form into a sculpture directly, which is not achievevable by any other techniques. By using photogrammetry it allows me to capture even macroscopic pores of human skin.
The motorized rig is a modification of a conventional setup to balance between hardware loading, cost and efficiency. The motorized mechanism allows me to automate the technical part of a scanning session seamlessly. BasicalIy I spent 2 months on setting up the whole system in R&D studio inside ManyMany Creations Ltd/ Quantum Matrix Ltd.. and this is the 12 iteration of hardware design modification.
The models are amazing! They had so much inputs from thier different backgrounds, aside from my direction, which makes the end result so amazing and artistic.
