This Spring, the exhibition 'Graphic Design — Now in Production' will open at the RISD Museum. Co-organized by Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum and the Walker Art Center, the show explores some of the most vibrant sectors and genres of graphic design today.
The show is accompanied by a database-like catalogue, but has no concrete internet presence. Using the catalogue as a source of raw content and organizational inspiration, I have designed and coded a hypothetical website for the Graphic Design — Now in Production show. My goal was to task myself with the following challenges: typesetting for the screen, using type as an interactive element, understanding HTML and CSS, and creating complex typographic hierarchies.
