Figma Prototype App - Triton Dash

Figma App Prototype

I designed a food delivery app that would solve the issue of UMSL being a food desert and giving access to food to more students.
The most most common issues with finding and purchasing food on the UMSL campus are
1. There is only one location on campus that have food besides vending machines.
2. The food that is available is far away from any buildings where classes are taught as well as dorm buildings and apartment buildings.
3. The food the school supplies is quite expensive for the quality that it is.
4. There aren't many options for food.
5. The UMSL supplied food takes a very long time to be made so students who are on a time crunch don't have enough time to wait for the food to come out.

The way I solved this was by creating a college campus version of a food delivery app where the only people who can apply to be delivery drivers are students. This would give college students at the university jobs that can be done in their free time whenever they need to and it also benefits the customer by having a driver who knows their away around the campus better than someone who has never been on it.

To make purchasing an order a little bit easier for some students, I also made it possible for them to use their UMSL "declining balance", also known as their meal plan, on their order. I renamed the "declining balance" to "Triton Dollars" in this prototype.
My inspirations for this app were Doordash, Uber Eats, the McDonald's app, and Instacart. I thought all of those apps were very easy to use even for first time customers and were very clearly marked.
Below is the prototype version of the app that shows what the checkout flow of the app would look like if a customer were trying to order. Feel free to explore the app for yourself. The logo is also designed by me.

Note that not all functions are fully operational but going to McDonald's, choosing a Quarter Pounder with Cheese and a Large Coke, and clicking the cart emblem at the bottom will get you the furthest. All back buttons, home buttons, cart buttons, and sign in buttons are functional.
