Children have always been scared by the school principal,
they dont know him much though, they dont even know his real name.
But one day they discover the secret of all this bitterness and get to his heart.
This is a bilingual, english, spanish book.
This was a very special project in many ways. The author, Emily, one day contacted me to propose me the to be the illustrator for her book, we exchanged some emails and soon we discovered we had so many things in common (aside from the love for books!)
Emily is one of a kind and has advocated her life to inspire the love for reading reading in children, she created the Reading Tents and this is what this book is based on,
inspired on her own journey.
This is what the final cover and back cover look like,
we thought it was better not to reveal Mr B´s face so soon!
I chose to illustrate this book entirely in acrylics which was very rewarding as I had been working digitally for a very long time,
Photoshop was used to enhance colors, clean up some images. and make minor adjustments.
