THE TELL-TALE HEART
The Tell-Tale Heart is a creepy and interesting story by Edgar Allan Poe. Using this story as inspiration, I used a balance of typography and illustration to tell this story in an expressive way. Through typography, I used three main sizes to express the type. I had a size that was slightly smaller than the text as well. By limiting the sizes of the text, I was able to express text without the design getting out of hand. I also decided on a purple and red color palette, as it was jarring, but still inviting. I thought this fit the theme of the story well. Using red throughout the story, I was able to highlight tense moments.
