To start, I really enjoyed this project. It gave enough creative freedom to keep the project interesting, but it had enough boundaries that it helped cultivate good ideas. I ultimately settled on the lighting-themed bumper sticker because it seemed the most "useful." I have a few friends that I work with in the lighting shop in the Rita, and I decided to pass out the extras to them.

My friend Kammi has this shirt that has a couple of stage lighting fixtures on it with the phrase "well hung" above it. I wanted to come up with something equally silly and quippy. In general theatre eats up most of my time: my social life, my sleep, my classtime, my weekends, so this mantra is not new to us by any means.

I knew I wanted the design to be strictly black and white, because most of our lighting paperwork is in black and white. It's not super exciting stuff. I originally started off with a serif font, but switched to a bold, sans serif and used strictly capitals to give it a more professional, refined, and modern feel. I built the vector from scratch and added the current light plot I hung for our musical this semester.

It was quick and dirty, but super effective.
