자의가 아닌 타인에 의해 트랜스젠더가 된 헤드윅은, 영화 속에서 엔딩장면으로 가까워질 수록 점점 외롭고 쓸쓸해집니다.
결국, 헤드윅은 시간을 되돌려 한셀로 돌아가고 싶을 거라는 상상을 하며, 이 영상을 연출하였으며, 시간을 되돌려 어떠한 선택을 해도 결국에는, 외롭고 쓸쓸하지 않았을까라는 걸 이야기하고 싶었습니다.
