This is a project of Desktop Publishing for Print Media subject. The project brief was to design a novel cover of our own selected genre and title.
Before the process of designing, students’ needs to do visual research based on the selected book genre. I have decided to design a cover of non-fiction; fantasy novel cover titled ‘The crystal Flight’.
I choose the approach of hand drawn illustration. The illustration is an experimentation and exploration of quality of line by using multiple pen sizes and the effects of overall tone and look of the illustration drawn on brown paper.
Final editing done in Photoshop CS4.
