Brief: To design three signature prints in three colour ways for Oliver Spencer's spring 2015 collection. Apply the patterns to a range of other aspects that could include packaging and in-store displays. Consider how the prints may be used: scaled up/down, other items they could be on.

Concept: Three prints will be dsigned taking inspiration from Tess Jaray and Luis Barragan, looking particularly at line, shape, structure, scale and colour. Once the prints are finalised it will be taken into consideration how these prints would work across the brand identity.

Solution: From the final patterns, two colour ways have been focused on for the identity keeping it quite masculine and simple to allow the focus on the items sold with the prints on. The patterns would be minimal on the outside of the packaging only on the sides and the inside would have the pattern printed on almost as if it is being revealed. The patterns have been scaled up and down and on a number of itmes to give the feel of how they would work across the whole brand.

Patterns in Context:
How the patterns could be applied to the packaging. Keeping it simple with the sides and inside of the bag with the print on. These could change across all patterns.
Envelope box that could be used for in-store and online packaging. The bug would change according to the pattern and colour way.
The same idea would apply to other aspects such as swing tags, gift cards and receipt holder. I wanted it to seem as if the pattern was being revealed.
The receipt holder follows the structure from pattern two thinking about how items can be folded and applying it to parts of the brand.
Screen printed patterns onto shirt sleeves and pockets with the inner label screen printed too.
